Ranchi, April 11 -- Women entrepreneurs of the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) on Saturday welcomed the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, terming it a step towards enhancing women's representation.
At a press conference held at Chamber Bhavan here, participants discussed provisions related to reservation for women in Parliament and state assemblies and its socio-economic impact.
FJCCI members said the proposed law would provide women with greater participation in governance and decision-making.
Poonam Anand said the Act would ensure appropriate representation for women and described it as a significant initiative.
