Chennai, March 28 -- Iconic batsman M S Dhoni, who has led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to five titles, will miss the the first two weeks of TATA IPL 2026 due to a calf strain.
In a terse one line statement, the CSK said Dhoni was undergoing rehabilitation for a calf strain and would not be seen in action for the first two weeks of the current edition.
"MS Dhoni is currently undergoing rehabilitation for a calf strain. As a result, he is likely to miss the first two weeks of TATA IPL 2026. Get well soon, Thala!", it said.
The talismanic cricketer has led CSK to title wins in 2011, 2011, 2018, 2021 and 2023, a record he shares with Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma.
