Panchkula, Sept. 11 -- Police have arrested five alleged drug smugglers in four cases and seized 183 grams of heroin and 1.118 kg of charas worth around Rs 40 lakh, uncovering suspected drug supply links extending to Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, an official said on Thursday.
Three of the accused have been remanded in police custody while two have been sent to judicial custody.
DCP (Crime and Traffic) Amrinder Singh said the Anti-Narcotics Cell arrested three persons in three separate cases, while Crime Branch-1 arrested two accused in another case.
