Kurukshetra, Oct. 20 -- Police on Tuesday arrested five suspects allegedly involved in a multiple series of mobile phone snatchings targeting pedestrians, women and children near Brahma Sarovar, besides stealing phones and cash from sleeping passengers on trains operating between Kurukshetra, Ambala and Karnal.
Police recovered 42 allegedly stolen or snatched mobile phones and a knife from the accused. Two suspects sustained leg injuries while allegedly attempting to escape from police custody during a recovery operation and were admitted to hospital.
