New Delhi, May 24 -- Two alleged sharpshooters of the Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu gang, along with three of their associates, were arrested by the Northern Range unit of the Delhi Police Special Cell from Punjab and Haryana for allegedly plotting a firing incident at a clinic in Delhi's Chhawla area as part of an extortion bid.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Cell Northern Range, Narra Chaitanya, the accused had been tasked by jailed gangster Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu to open fire at the clinic in order to terrorise the target and extort money. The officer said the operation led to the recovery of three semi-automatic pistols, four live cartridges and mobile phones allegedly used to communicate with the gangster.
