Bhubaneswar, Oct. 15 -- With a focus on improving rural women's earnings, ICAR-CIFA has showcased modern aquaculture technologies and backyard poultry farming on Thursday as potential livelihood options in a programme organised by ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (ICAR-CIFA) and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Bhubaneswar, to mark Rashtriya Mahila Kisan Diwas.
The programme introduced farmers to Biofloc technology, the Recirculatory Aquaculture System (RAS) and drone applications in fish farming. Participants also visited demonstration units and farm facilities at ICAR-CIFA and KVK-Khordha to learn about improved farming practices.
