Hyderabad, Sept. 5 -- The packaging industry worldwide will observe the first-ever World Packaging Day (WPD) on September 6, with the World Packaging Organisation (WPO) designating the date to highlight the vital role of packaging in modern society.
In a release, Hyderabad-based packaging professional and Global Ambassador of the WPO AVPS Chakravarthi said the annual observance coincides with the anniversary of the organisation's foundation and aims to promote greater public understanding of the contribution of packaging to health, food security, economic development, innovation and quality of life.
