First joint analysis of Coronagraphs on India's Aditya-L1 and Europe's Proba-3 decodes Solar eruptions near their birthplace
Chennai, Oct. 19 -- The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said the first joint analysis of Coronagraphs on India's Aditya-L1 and Europe's Proba-3 has decodeed Solar eruptions near their birthplace,In an update, it said for the first time, scientific observations of the same solar eruptions by Aditya-L1 mission and Proba-3 have been jointly analyzed and published. Scientists at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), Bengaluru, combined observations from the VELC payload onboard Aditya-L1 and the ASPIICS payload onboard Proba-3 to study coronal mass ejections (CMEs). They measured the mass, density, and energetics of these CMEs in the region very close to the Sun and the study has been published in the prestigious journal Astrono...
