Agartala, Aug. 1 -- Tripura began the first phase of Census 2027, commencing with the House Listing and Housing Census (HLO) on Saturday, under the aegis of India's inaugural fully digital population census.
Field operations are scheduled to take place till August 30, during which trained enumerators will visit each household throughout the state to gather housing and household-related data using mobile applications and a web-based digital platform.
Director of Census Operations for Tripura, Ratan Biswas, said the entire operation was framed under the theme, "Accurate Data, Accurate Enumeration, and Foundation of a Prosperous India", which is vital for evidence-based planning in areas like education, healthcare, housing, employment genera...
