Lucknow, April 14 -- A shocking incident has emerged from the Banthra area of Lucknow, where a dispute over garlanding a statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar escalated into gunfire, leaving one person seriously injured.
The incident reportedly took place in the Shivpur area under Banthra Nagar Panchayat. According to available information, the injured has been identified as Karan Gautam, son of Manoj and a resident of Shivpura Ambedkar Nagar. He was rushed to a surgical hospital in Lucknow in critical condition, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Karan Gautam has alleged that the bullet was fired by Ranjeet Rawat and Vikas Pasi, who are said to be associated with the current chairman as representatives.
