New Delhi, May 3 -- Nine people, including a toddler, died when a fire broke out in a four-storey residential building in Delhi's Vivek Vihar area early Sunday.
In the major fire incident, police confirmed that a PCR call was received at around 03:48 AM at Vivek Vihar Police Station, following which senior officers rushed to the spot at B-13, Vivek Vihar Phase-I.
According to the police, the fire had engulfed flats on the second, third and fourth floors.
During rescue and firefighting operations, around 10-15 people were evacuated. Two people with minor injuries were shifted to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital for treatment.
