Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 18 -- A fire broke out in a kitchen shed behind Cantonment House, the official residence of Kerala Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan, on Saturday night, prompting a swift response from the Fire and Rescue Services.
The fire erupted at around 2200 hours in a shed used for preparing food for staff at the premises. Three Fire and Rescue Services units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control before it could spread to other parts of the compound, sources said.
