Ambala, Nov. 3 -- Police have registered a case against unidentified persons for allegedly impersonating Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij and seeking money from people for air ticket bookings and other documents, following a complaint by his personal assistant, Abhikant Vats.
The case was registered at Ambala Cantonment police station on November 1 after Vats alleged that unknown persons were misusing the minister's name and identity to approach people and demand online payments.
According to the complaint, a person posing as Vij contacted a travel agency operator in Ambala Cantonment and asked him to book an air ticket and transfer money online for certain documents.
