Agartala, Nov. 3 -- In the recent elections for 21 civic bodies in Tripura, including Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC), female voters have notably outnumbered their male counterparts, as reported by the state election commission (SEC).
The SEC has disclosed that there are a total of 629,903 registered voters within all civic bodies, consisting of 308,115 males and 321,743 females, which results in a female majority of 13,628 voters.
The male voters only slightly exceed female voters in the Bisramganj and Melaghar Nagar Panchayats, while in the remaining 19 civic bodies, including the AMC, females significantly outnumber males.
