Hyderabad, Aug. 24 -- The Federation of Press Clubs today adopted the Hyderabad Declaration, laying out a broad framework to strengthen press freedom, protect journalists' rights and promote professional growth of media persons across India.

The declaration was adopted at the conclusion of a two-day National Media Conclave organised by the Press Club Hyderabad to formally launch the Federation of Press Clubs, a national collective of democratically managed press clubs.

The Federation resolved to work with press clubs across the country to create a unified platform for collective action, knowledge-sharing and initiatives aimed at advancing journalism.
