Mumbai, July 28 -- Maharashtra's Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Tuesday suspended the food business licences of five leading clubs here including the Cricket Club of India (CCI) and initiated action against two other establishments following inspections that uncovered multiple violations of food safety and hygiene norms.
The action was taken during a special inspection drive carried out under the directions of FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe as part of the department's ongoing campaign to enforce compliance with the Food Safety and Standards Act.
