Madrid, July 1 -- FC Barcelona has confirmed that forward Ansu Fati has been transferred to Monaco, with the Ligue 1 club making the deal permanent after Fati's loan last season.
The move ends Fati's 13-year relationship with Barcelona after he joined the club as a 10-year-old and for whom he made 123 appearances, scoring 29 goals.
FC Barcelona said it retains the right to a percentage of "any future sale."Fati made his first-team debut at 16 years and 298 days, scoring his first goal just six days later in a 2-2 draw away to Osasuna, and hitting his first goal in the UEFA Champions League at 17 years and 40 days to set a new record for the youngest goalscorer in the competition, according to Xinhua.
