Hisar, Oct. 17 -- A man have been arrested for allegedly failing to safely secure a firearm after a 12-year-old boy was shot dead while visiting his friend's house in Haryana's Adampur area, officials said on Saturday.
The accused, identified as Gautam Singh, is the father of a juvenile allegedly involved in the shooting that claimed the life of Daivik Goyal on October 13.
Police said the juvenile had already been sent to a juvenile observation home in Faridabad in connection with the case.
According to a complaint lodged by the victim's father, Ravi Goyal, a resident of Mandi Adampur, Daivik had gone to the house of his friend Ajay, son of Gautam Singh, on the evening of October 13 to pack for a school trip.
