Srinagar, July 29 -- National Conference president and former chief minister Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday questioned the alleged silence of the Prime Minister and External Affairs Minister over the unrest in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, which has claimed several lives.
He also urged the United Nations Human Rights Commission to visit PoK and assess the situation there.
Talking to reporters in Srinagar, Farooq said the UN human rights body should visit the region, understand the problems being faced by the people, and work towards resolving them.
