Chandrapur, June 24 -- In a major development in the alleged illegal kidney sale case involving an indebted farmer from Maharashtra, absconding Delhi-based doctor Dr Ravindra Pal Singh, one of the key accused, surrendered before the Brahmapuri court on Wednesday.
Dr Singh, who had been on the radar of the Local Crime Branch (LCB), appeared before the court along with his counsel.
After hearing both sides, the court remanded him to judicial custody.
The case came to light in December 2025 after Roshan Kude, a farmer from Brahmapuri tehsil in Chandrapur district, allegedly attempted to sell his kidney to repay debts owed to moneylenders.
