Kolkata, May 21 -- Voter turnout in the re-poll at Falta Assembly constituency in South 24 Parganas reached 42.83 per cent till 11 am on Thursday, with polling progressing peacefully amid heavy security deployment and no reports of major violence.

The re-poll was ordered by the Election Commission of India (ECI) following numerous complaints during the second phase of the West Bengal elections on April 29.
