Fake Railway Police Gang Busted for Cheating Officers in Maharashtra's Hingoli
Hingoli, Apr 8 ( UNI) In a shocking case of fraud, a gang posing as railway police officials has been exposed for duping even police officers in Hingoli district of Maharashtra.The Hingoli Local Crime Branch has busted a notorious gang from Madhya Pradesh that impersonated railway authorities to extort money.According to the investigation, the accused would call from unknown numbers and introduce themselves as "Inspector Manoj Kumar from Khandwa Railway Station." They would then spin a fake story about a railway accident to emotionally manipulate their targets.One such call was received by Kalamanuri Police Station officer Premprakash Makode.
