Chandigarh, May 11 -- The Punjab Police have apprehended three youths near the high-security Pathankot Air Force Station after they allegedly attempted to impersonate intelligence officials using a forged identity card.
The arrests took place during a special night-checking operation at a barricade near Naushera Nalbanda. According to officials, the suspects were travelling in an i20 car when they were stopped by a team led by ASI Sartaj Singh around 11 pm.
During the initial questioning, the driver identified himself as Constable Sunir Sharma and presented a police identity card, claiming to be on a covert intelligence assignment. However, the situation turned suspicious when the other two occupants failed to produce any valid identifica...
