Sitapur, March 11 -- A sub-inspector posted at the Police Training College (PTC) in Sitapur was allegedly duped of around Rs15 lakh by cyber fraudsters posing as officials of central investigation agencies who threatened him with a "digital arrest."According to police, the victim, Sub-Inspector Narayan Singh, received a phone call around noon on February 20.

The caller claimed to be a senior inspector from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) headquarters in Delhi and alleged that Singh's Aadhaar and PAN details had been used to open a bank account at ICICI Bank linked to a case registered in Jammu and Kashmir.
