Mumbai, Sept. 24 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is visiting drought-affected areas to interact with farmers and assess their difficulties, BJP chief spokesperson Navnath Ban said on Thursday.
Speaking at a press conference at the BJP state office, Ban said drought-like conditions had been reported in 21 districts across Marathwada, Vidarbha, Solapur and north Maharashtra.
He said the Chief Minister was visiting farmers in the affected areas to understand their concerns and provide reassurance.
Ban also said the state government was expected to issue an order within the next two days outlining measures for drought-affected farmers.
