Mumbai, Aug. 17 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has sought the Centre's support for the proposed Uttan-Virar Sea Link project, including financial assistance from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), as part of efforts to strengthen connectivity in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Fadnavis said he discussed several infrastructure and connectivity-related issues in Maharashtra with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including connectivity to the Mumbai-Vadhavan Expressway.
The state government has approached the Centre seeking financial assistance from JICA for the Uttan-Virar Sea Link and has also sought the necessary approvals, particularly from the union Finance Ministry, to facilitate the project, he said.
