Mumbai, Sept. 30 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday launched the digital platform Bappa.Org as part of an initiative to document and showcase the cultural and social traditions associated with Ganeshotsav and take them to a global audience, with an effort also being made to secure World Heritage recognition for the festival.
Fadnavis inaugurated the platform at a programme held at The Asiatic Society by uploading the story of the Ganapati celebrations at his own home. He said Bappa Org had been developed to present to the world the social interaction, unity, enthusiasm and collective energy generated through public Ganeshotsav celebrations.
