Washim, Sept. 24 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday assured farmers that the state government would stand by them and announced that those who were excluded from the earlier farm loan waiver scheme would also be provided relief.
Fadnavis is on a visit to Masal village in Washim district when a large number of farmers gathered to meet him and raise concerns over crop losses, water shortages and difficulties faced by livestock owners.
As his convoy was leaving, farmers raised their hands to draw his attention. Fadnavis stopped and spoke to them, assuring them that their grievances would be addressed.
