Chennai, Sept. 24 -- After facing brickbats and massive backlash from all the Opposition parties and also from two Left parties extending outside support to the ruling TVK, and protests by the fishing community, the Tamil Nadu government headed by Chief Minister Vijay was said to be toying with the idea of shifting the proposed new Secretariat from the coastal Pattinapakkam area inthe city to an alternative site.
If reports are to be believed, officials are now examining Pallavan Illam in the Arterial Anna Salai as a possible alternative location to house the Secretariat complex.
