Shimla, March 16 -- Members of the Shimla Ice Skating Club have decided to submit a memorandum to the state government seeking an alternative arrangement before vacating the club premises following instructions issued for the proposed all-weather ice skating rink project.
The decision was taken during an emergency meeting of the club held on Sunday after directions were conveyed to vacate the Ice Skating Club building by March 19.
The state government plans to convert the existing skating rink into an all-weather facility, for which the club house building and adjoining servant quarters are proposed to be dismantled.
