Bengaluru, Aug. 23 -- Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Sunday turned the BJP's demand for the resignation of Congress MLA B Nagendra into a wider political challenge, accusing the Opposition of disrupting the Assembly and selectively targeting a Dalit ST leader while ignoring criminal cases involving ministers and chief ministers elsewhere.

With the BJP pressing for Nagendra's resignation over the alleged irregularities in the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation, Shivakumar said the Opposition should follow legislative procedure instead of resorting to protests and repeated slogans.
