Bengaluru, June 18 -- Expelled BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal on Thursday sought to dispel speculation over his stand in the Karnataka Legislative Council elections, asserting that he remains committed to voting for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as he was elected on its symbol and is "neither a dissident nor a rebel".

In a post on social media platform X, Yatnal said he had written a formal letter to BJP Karnataka in-charge Nitin Nabin clarifying his position ahead of the Council polls.
