Varanasi, Sept. 11 -- Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank', former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and a supporter of Sanskrit and Indian culture, Friday said that it is the need of the hour to disseminate the knowledge contained in the vast literature of Sanskrit to the new generation through research, translation, modern technology, and widespread public participation.
Expansion of Sanskrit knowledge will further strengthen the Indian knowledge tradition, he added.
