Pune, June 15 -- A unique exhibition showcasing agricultural biodiversity, including 200 indigenous rice varieties from Maharashtra, was held here on Monday under the aegis of the Vanarai Institute.
The exhibition featured traditional crop varieties conserved through community participation by the BAIF Development Research Foundation, Pune.
The exhibition synchronised with the release of the book "Healthy Natural Rice Farming" authored by Pramod Jadhav. Maharashtra Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharane released the book.
