Agartala, Aug. 13 -- Veteran Communist leader and former Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Sarkar, today urged citizens to remain vigilant in the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls scheduled for September 5.
He reminded the importance of opposing any attempts to unlawfully remove legitimate voters from the register. During a memorial gathering to honour former CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury, Sarkar addressed his party workers and expressed concerns about potential irregularities in the electoral roll review process in Tripura.
