Chennai, July 15 -- Former Minister and DMK heavyweight V Senthilbalaji, presently a Legislator elected from Coimbatore South constituency, has written to the police stating he has not absconded and that his name does not figure in the FIR in the case pertaining to alleged attempts to induce a ruling TVK MLA with a Rs 35 crore bribery offer, even as one more person was arrested on Wednesday taking the total to 12.

Police sources said Senthilbalaji, who was granted anticipatory bail by the Madras High Court, has sent the letter on Tuesday through his counsel in response to a summons directing him to appear before the Investigation Officer for an inquiry.
