Bhubaneswar, Aug. 1 -- Odisha Vigilance on Friday arrested Himanshu Das, former Managing Director of Betnoti Large-sized Adivasi Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society (LAMPCS) Ltd. in Mayurbhanj district, for allegedly misappropriating over Rs 40.94 lakh collected from farmers towards repayment of agricultural and crop loans.
Das was produced before the Special Judge, Vigilance, Baripada for remand. According to Vigilance, the case pertains to alleged large-scale financial irregularities during the 2017-18 financial year.
