Chennai, Oct. 25 -- Close on the heels of the arrest of a 31-year-old Indian Navy sailor on espionage charges for leaking key and sensitive defence/maritime data linked to Visakhapatnam Naval base to a woman Pakistani Intelligence operative, a former Indian Army Officer was arrested in Vellore district of Tamil Nadu for allegedly leaking key and secret military data to an unidentified woman.
Reports said, the retired Army Officer, Babu (52), was lured into the honeytrap by the woman by befriending him through WhatsApp and video calls an year ago, and said to have obtained datas about Army equipment and other defence-related information from him.
