New Delhi, March 29 -- Ex- Agniveers will have an option of being recruited as constables (executive) in the Delhi Police, as the force is to reserve 20 per cent of the above mentioned posts for them, a recently issued Home Ministry notification said.
This development comes with the amendment made to the Delhi Police (Appointment & Recruitment) Rules, 1980, for which the notification was issued on Friday.
It is with the centre's vision of having those Agniveers on board different domains and forces, whose armed forces tenure of four years has ended.
Ex-Agniveers will also have three years relaxation in prescribed upper age limit, and a further, age relaxation of five years beyond the prescribed upper age limit will be given to the candid...
