New Delhi, May 8 -- The European union has released a detailed report on deepening integration and growing contribution of European firms in Indian growth and development.
Today, the EU is India's long-term trading partner and leading foreign investor with bilateral trade nearing EUR 200 billion and an investment stock of EUR 140 billion.
The study "The Economic Footprint of EU businesses in India" presents a complete update on the extent of EU economic presence, as around 6,000 EU firms are currently active in India.
They're generating €186 billion in turnover in 2024, equivalent to around 5pc of India's GDP and nearly a quarter of its manufacturing sector turnover.
