Buenos Aires, April 19 -- Brian Aguirre scored a second-half goal as Estudiantes moved two points clear at the top of Group A with a 1-0 away win over Instituto in Argentina's Apertura tournament.
The visitors went ahead in the 51st minute on Saturday when Aguirre cut inside from the left flank and lashed a low 18-yard drive past goalkeeper Manuel Roffo.
The hosts controlled more than 50 percent of possession but could manage only two shots on goal for the match.
Estudiantes now has 27 points from 14 games, two ahead of second-placed Velez Sarsfield, which has a game in hand. Instituto is 10th in the 15-team group with 17 points.
