Srinagar, Aug. 25 -- The Economic Offences Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir has filed a chargesheet against a man accused of cheating his former schoolmate of lakhs of rupees by promising to arrange medicines for his cancer-stricken wife at a cheaper rate, officials said on Tuesday.
The chargesheet was filed before the court of Sub-Judge, Srinagar, against Afaq Ahmad Thug, a resident of New Colony, Hazratbal, Anantnag, presently residing in Sunjwan, Jammu, in connection with FIR No. 25/2026 registered under Section 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
