New Delhi, March 8 -- President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday said that women are playing a leading role in every field, be it education, administration, judiciary, military, medicine, science, technology, arts, and entrepreneurship, while in rural areas, they are becoming financially self-reliant through sel f-help groups.
Addressing a gathering at an event on the occasion of International Women's Day, President Murmu lauded women for taking up leadership roles and driving rural development in panchayats, adding that many women are leveraging their capabilities to provide leadership in industry, startups, and the corporate world.
