Aizawl, March 26 -- A pilot English literacy intervention in Mizoram's Lunglei district has recorded significant improvements in early-grade reading outcomes, with authorities now preparing to scale up the model in the next academic session, officials said.

The "Learn to Read" programme-implemented in Lungsen Aspirational Block through a collaboration between the Deputy Commissioner's Office, Lunglei, Disha Foundation and ELF English-was introduced in August 2025 across 10 government primary schools, covering 268 students.
