Chatra (Jharkhand), March 15 -- A part of the aircraft engine of the air ambulance that crashed in Jharkhand's Chatra district last month was recovered from a forest area on Sunday, about three weeks after the accident.
Police said villagers collecting mahua flowers spotted the engine component in the Kasiyatu-Karmatand forest under Simaria police station area and informed the authorities.
A police team reached the spot and took the recovered engine part into custody for investigation.
Officials said the component was found nearly one kilometre away from the main crash site.
An air ambulance had crashed in the same area on February 23, killing seven people including the pilot.
