Chennai, June 5 -- Ending days of speculation, it's official that former BJP Tamil Nadu unit President K Annamalai has resigned from the saffron party and it was accepted by the Party High Command on Friday, ending his .six year long association with it.

A couple of days back, Annamalai,who has of late been increasingly sidelined by the National leadership, met Party President Nitin Nabin in New Delhi and submitted his resignation.
