Hyderabad, March 8 -- union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday said employees should also come forward to take up farming and support agriculture, stressing that farmers are the backbone of the country.

He was speaking after inaugurating a newly built farmers' hostel and the "Farmers Value Addition and Food Processing Laboratory" at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra Tuniki run by the Eklavya Grameen Vikas Foundation in Tuniki village of Medak district under the aegis of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research.
