Kolkata, Feb. 26 -- Passport offices in Kolkata and multiple post offices in West Bengal received bomb threats via emails on Thursday, after a similar scare at several courts across the state over the past two days.

Email threats were sent to the passport offices of Brabourne Road and the Anandpur area in the city during morning hours warning that bombs had been planted. After that, both offices were evacuated with employees rushing out in panic. Police and bomb squads arrived swiftly and went to work at these offices.
