Patna, July 1 -- In a significant administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening policing and improving the efficiency of the law enforcement system, the Bihar government on Wednesday transferred 11 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and assigned additional charge to one senior officer.
According to a notification issued by the Home Department Preeta Verma, who was serving as Chairperson-cum-Managing Director and General Manager of the Bihar Police Building Construction Corporation, has been made Director General-cum-Commandant General of the Home Guards and Fire Services.
Director General of Police (Training) Nirmal Kumar Azad has been given the additional charge of Director General, Prohibition and State Narcotics Control Bureau.
