Shillong, June 25 -- Election Commissioner of India, Dr. Vivek Joshi on Wednesday reviewed the preparedness for the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls during his visit to Meghalaya.

Joshi interacted with the District Election Officer (DEO), Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers(AEROs), and other election officials of East Khasi Hills district and Ri-Bhoi district.

Meghalaya Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Brahma Deo Ram Tiwari said the review meeting focused on the preparedness and implementation strategy for the Special Intensive Revision, including training and capacity-building initiatives for Booth Level Officers (BLOs), EROs, and AEROs.
